Two Dual Qualifications:
  • Further Education & Training Certificate in ECD (Level 4), SAQA I.D. 58761 AND
  • Montessori Infant and Toddler (0-3 years) Certificate

  • National Diploma in ECD (Level 5), SAQA I.D. 23118 AND

The Programme
The Montessori 0-6 years course can be studied Full-Time or Part-time using a blended learning approach. It is a combination of the Infant & Toddler Course and the Pre-Primary course and is ideal for adults wanting to open their own schools, or have flexibility in terms of the age group they work with. It provides an excellent combination of hands-on practical experience with theory, preparing you to confidently guide and enrich the lives of children, and offers an excellent understanding of Montessori education. Full-Time Classes are held during the week from 08h30 – 14h00. Part-Time classes are held on Saturdays from 08h30 – 16h00.

After successful completion of the academic component, students are required to complete an internship in a Montessori Infant or Toddler environment and an internship in a Montessori preschool environment. Graduates from this programme may register with the South African Council of Educators (SACE) and may work in the Early Childhood field (0-6 years) as a lead guide and/or Head of school.

All our dual qualifications have an online component. We make use of Google Classroom, which can easily be accessed on a smartphone, iPad or laptop. Students are given a basic introduction to the programme and ideally will learn many important skills using this format. Students who opt to complete the course via distance learning, will complete most of the academic component via this portal.
